Gigabot: 3D printing, only bigger
The promise of home 3d printing is that you can make just about any shape you want. But with a great big caveat: whatever you make has to be smaller than a box of Kleenex.
So re:3D’s Gigabot is looking very exciting. It’s a new 3d printer up on Kickstarter with a build volume of 8 cubic feet. For comparison, this is more than 30 times the capacity of the latest Makerbot.
Of course, you’re going to need a lot of plastic to take advantage.
